I didn't really know how the past 2 weeks just flew by, monday....tuesday......friday....sunday then all over again. I wished I had more time for my craftworks but I guess you can't have the best of both worlds... I have so many exciting plans in mind but it seems like there is never enough time for everything. Well at least I have managed to take some photos of these really delicate beaded accessories and uploaded them into Ivory Apple. (they are there for a limited time period only)These beautiful beaded earrings are made by a good friend of mine, its truely amazing...I can never count all those tiny beads...especially now that I have just got myself the "first" pair of reading glasses. Painting on Stones at Emily Hill

This holiday was buzzing with activities for TAR as well as the family, right at the beginning of the term break, we spent a wonderful Saturday morning with a company of talented artistes at Emily Hill. The kids experienced a few good hours painting on different types of stone like marble, granite and even onyx.
I love the peaceful and artistic ambiance of Emily Hill, it's exactly like what they have mentioned in the website, "in the very heart of Singapore, amidst the shopping, the construction sites, traffic snarls and the million other daily abrasions of the quotidian, there is a spot of surreal quietude. "
Visit Emily Hill's website, they have all the interesting programmes coming up which I'm very interested to join too.

"S" is the word of the day

My youngest was "Sick" for the whole of this week and part of last week, she missed more than a week of school and the zoo trip that she was eagerly looking forward to going with her classmates...we will just have to make it up to her this June Holiday. 3 visits to the clinic and 3 courses of different antibiotics seems to be doing good on her virus, but has been upsetting her digestive system, and poor baby hasn't been able to eat well, and it's down to a mere 18kg for a 6 yr old.. :((

My green and creative packaging

While I was fumbling on what kind of unique packing I should have for Ivory Apple. I came across a whole big box of lovely and creative paintings done by my little students when we had the shop in SGV. Well I would say some paintings were very bold in colours and strong in expressions and most of them are just very creative. I couldn't be able to frame all of them and to chuck them aside seems quite a pity. So I decided to add a touch of creativeness in the new Ivory Apple packaging, now my new customers would each have a little small piece of Tinkle Art Room when they purchase my handmades from Ivory Apple!
PS: Please ignore the ugly handwriting ^-^

From the heart to the mouth.

Hello there...12 days since the last time I blogged. Recent days were tight with some workshops, family commitments and enormous no. of errands to run. Life hasn't been on pace for me, in fact it felt like I was on the thread mill 24 hours a day. Besides the recent adult classes that I've just completed, there were some private lessons and stock taking for the craft supplies side. You might like to know that I've added some more items on the Sales department at Tinkle Art n Crafts. If you are really into skills and techniques of polymer clay. The Polymer Cafe is a good resource to look into. Most of the issues are on sale at a good discount there.
So other than the busyness on the craft biz, the kids attended some interesting and creative birthday parties recently, one of them was a pizza making party where the kids had a hands on making their own pizza creation. We were pleasantly surprised with a pizza that were made especially for us when we picked her up. Well it seems that we might have a potential Italian restaurateur here, not only the pizza looked adorable, it tasted awesome too and thumbs up for the box design! Way to go darling!

The oldest and the youngest playing shadow puppets!

I should have post this up earlier...we had a one-of-a kind fun throughout the 60 mins except for the little accident of me sandwiching my fingers between the fridge door in the dark(we turned off everything except the fridge) in attempt to get cool drinks for the family during the hot humid evening.

My week so far...

The week has started off quite well for me until Thursday night when my notebook decided to take a strike on me (again). *_* I couldn't log on to my profile at all, and that also means that all my important data, invoices, purchases orders, photos and etc are impossible to retrieve and the whole of Friday morning was spent on the phone conversing with the technical support but till now the problem has not been resolved yet, but luckily my emails are all web based, so I can still reply to them...but I really don't like to use the family computer if I have a choice....I'll just have to keep my fingers cross...

Don't let me fall...

Underneath the moon, underneath the stars
Heres a little heart for you
Up above the world, up above it all
Heres a hand to hold on to
But if I should break,
If I should fall away
What am I to do?
I need someone to take,
A little of the weight
Or I'll fall through

You're just the one
That I've been waiting for
I'll give you all that I have to give and more
But don't let me fall

Take a little time, walk a little line
Got the balance right
Give a little love, gimme just enough
So that I can hang on tight

We will be alright,
I'll be by your side, I wont let you down
But I gotta know, no matter how things go
That you will be alright

You're just the one that I've been waiting for I'll give you all
That I have to give and more
But don't let me fall

Underneath the moon,
Underneath the stars
Heres a little heart for you

Up above the world, Up above it all
Heres a hand to hold on to

Your just the one that I've been waiting for
I'll give you all that I have to give and more
But don't let me fall

You'll be the one that I'll love forever more
I'll be here holding you
High above it all
But don't let me fall
Love this video...and her ablum would be next on my list ^-^

Hear me roar!

Mom was back home last Friday after 3 weeks of confinement at the hospital, and we were all literally running to get everything done before she got home, making sure the house is spick and span, stocking up her fridge, checking the mail box, sorting out the mails, and I'm very very so very glad that she is recovering really well despite her age. This march holiday wasn't much of one, especially for me, the kids wasn't thrilled either as they had to deal with lots of homework. The older one has her school camp coming along this week, and so lots of assignments had to be done first as she will miss 3 days of school, but even so she was in such excitement and anticipation. This will be the first time that she is officially staying away from home. (with exception of staying over at her cousin's place of cos). The week was filled with lots of errands running, 2 school workshops and 1 clay party, I just have to share with you these cutest lion cubs made by a bunch of exuberant 10 years olds. Happy Birthday Chrystie!

I want to be a towel sales girl!

Yes when I saw what my older girl has drawn...the first thought that I had was.....that is so cool!
I never think that there is a profession such as towel sales girl...well I know that there are the sales person that works in the departmental store of cos, but it has never really cross my mind that there is this particular job profession as "towel sales girl" as she seriously described. Well in her opinion..the job of this person has to make sure that all the towels that she sells has to be extremely fluffy and soft and they have to be color coordinated too! Talk about perfectionist...I think it runs in the family ^-^

These lollipoppers bookmarks are hand drawn and painted by my girl and are available at Ivory Apple. Do visit and help her to get a step nearer to her goal! It will be a great encouragement to my little entrepreneur!

Opening of Ivory Apple dot com

Well last week was whirlwind for us here. Thank you so much for your well wishes and concern. My mom is recovering well from her surgery, the whole of last week was busy too as the kids were having their term test as well, but I did managed to do some work on the new website though....taking pictures and loading them into the new webstore whenever I had my hands on the computer. Bit by bit and piece by piece, its not completely done yet, but I guess I did have all the important parts all filled up, and I did add in google translate as well because I know some of my Japanese customers had some problems navigating through the store, I hope this will help...
To celebrate the opening of the store, we are having a little giveaway...see the new baby pea necklace above? All you have to do is to send in some constructive feedbacks on our new webstore at ivoryapple@gmail.com to stand a chance to win the unique baby pea necklace and you will enjoy an e-coupon discount from us to shop at the new store in return!

Me disappearing again ^_^

Pardon me while I disappear from blogland again this week, my dear old mom had just undergone a leg operation, and while her "new" leg are adjusting to the new environment...I've to be hers for the time being. I will still try to reply your mails on time as soon as I can, orders will still be process and send out, but just in case if there is any hiccups in between the process, I hope to seek your understanding. ^_^
